Matter on Changing Nationality

To the Ambassador or who may concered ,
I am a Chinese and hold a Chinese passport , and my son hold a Egyption passport . Now I would like to change my son,s nationality to Chinese , and I have lost contact with his father for several years ( he is Egpytion ) . so my question is : In this case , can I just apply for this issue as a single mother ?or what suggestion can you give me ?
