About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Used as 3 day’s tourist visa?

Hi
I’d like to visit Shangai from New Zealand in 3-4 days. But then my country A and C would be the same?
Can I still do it or do I need a tourist visa for that?
Thanks al lot

It is not available if they are the same country. This is not eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit. However, you can try the following route to eligible for the visa-free transit: New Zealand - Shanghai - Hong Kong - New Zealand.

By the way, the 72-hour visa-free transit has been extended to the 144 hours.

Thanks for the idea, but my understanding is that the transit needs to be between connecting flights, it means run from the same company. Am I wrong?
Thanks

Yes, it is not necessary to have tickets in the same airline. Preparing your flight ticket to the third country/ region is enough.
