About:Chengdu Transportation

Hi! I want to travel to Yunnan from Chengdu by train but is there train to Lijiang?

I know there's train to Kunming but would like to avoid that as Kunming will be my last stop in China to travel to Laos next.

From CD, there is no train for Lijiang directly and you need to transfer in Kunming.

There are five trains from Kunming to Lijiang and they are K9618/K9619, K9614/K9615, K9069/K9067, K9610/K9611, K9602/K9603.

you can get an overnight train to Panzhihua and a bus from there to Lijiang. Bus takes 8 hours. We did it 5 days ago, in the opposite direction, very easy, and nice scenery.
