About:China Visa

Is Macau okay as an onward destination? Could I qualify for the 72 hour visa in Shanghai?

This forum is really great! I will be travelling Sydney (AUS) to Macau on China Eastern and Air Macau. The connection is at PVG Shanghai, stopover 22 hours.

Yes, actually you enjoy free transit if your stopover is less than 24 hrs. so nothing is required to be done before arriving the airport. Your valid passport and flight ticket are enough, and you can get a free stay permit after arrival at PVG.
