About:Shanghai Travel

best way from Shanghai Pudong to city center

I am arriving at airport at 4PM sat, early May.
My group will have a charter bus to drive us to our hotel in city center.
Will I save time if I took the maglev instead? I know the train is very fast, but i would have to take cab to maglev station.

The maglev takes around 8 minutes from Pudong airport to Longyang Road Station. Upon reaching the Longyang Road Station, you still need to transfer to other subway lines or cabs to reach the city proper area, such as the Lujiazui area, the East Nanjing Road area.

The maglev train station is just inside the terminal and you can follow the direction boards to find the station.

Although it is fast, but I still suggest you to use your charter bus to enter the city downtown, so that you will not need to transfer on your own. It is not crowded on the road on Sat, so it will not takes a long time on the road.
