About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

If i buy a phone in China, would i still be able to use it in Canada?

I don't have to change the SIM card or anything like that right? Would i still be able to connect to 4G/3G network in CA? I'm planning to get a Samsung Galaxy S5, and i heard from a friend from China that it's only 1200 RMB in one of the China Telecom Stores, which is only about $200 in CA. They sell it here in CA for about $700. Why are phones in China so cheap?

It will cost you too much money if you use Chinese sim card in Canada because it's in roaming mode. The 4G service is totally different from that in Canada. It's TD-LTE. However, you may use 3G service in Canada because China Unicom and China Telecom support WCDMA and CDMA modes. S5 is very expensive because it was just released at the beginning of this April. It costs CNY 5288 or 5299. I don't know where you get this information that it costs only 1200 RMB. Be careful when someone sells you S5 at such a cheap price.
