Can I extend my study visa because of the summer job?

Thank you in advance.

Atm I am studying in China and my studies will end 14.6.2014, after that I will work in China for 3 months until 12.9.2014. My student residence permit will end 30th of July so I would need another 2 months. Is it possible to extend my current X and work with it or 3 moths? Or should I need to apply for work Z?

Thanks

Hi, if it is a fully paid job, you have to leave and apply for a work Z.

I am afraid that you can't apply for the Z type in HK or Macau because you don't have valid resident status there. Therefore, you need get back to your own country and then apply for the Z type.

Peter, that is not correct. I have lived and worked in PRC for 3 years and when I applied for my Z I did so in HK, went early in the morning and picked it up the next morning, then went to mainland to obtain my residence permit, which took a week.
