Transit visa for 12 hours for indian passport holders

Hello, I am visiting japan by Air China flight. Both ways i have around 18 hours break in between at Beijing. I want to go out for few hours and want to have a look of the city.

You can apply for a free stay permit at the airport if you want to go out of the airport. Your passport and flight ticket are enough for this application.
