About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

HK to Shanghai to Macau (One-way), can I get a transit permit at Shanghai airport?

I intend to fly to Shanghai and stop for 72 hours from Hong Kong and then fly onwards to Macau. I hold a US passport.
