Is it possible to get Chinese visa in Thailand for Ukrainian citizen?

I'm currently in Thailand, and want to go overland to Laos, then to China, Russia and Ukraine. So is it possible to get apply at least for one month without air ticket and invitation letter (i don't know anyone in China)? Before Thailand i spent 4 month in India and Nepal.
