How to get my marriage authorised in china ?

I m a Sri Lankan passport holder live in Canada. I m planning to marry my Chinese girlfriend in Sri Lankan in July 2014. So for the ceremony she will come from china to Sri Lankan. I want to get my marriage certified by the Chinese authorities. I heard that I can get that service from the the Chinese embassy in Sri Lankan. Is that correct ? If correct what would be the process? Do I have to translate all my Sri Lankan marriage registration papers in to Chinese? If yes from where I can get that done ? I would like to really thankful for any one who can help me with some useful information.
