how to get my marriage authorised in china ?

I m a Sri Lankan passport holder live in Canada. I m planning to marry my Chinese girlfriend in Sri Lankan in July 2014. So for the ceremony she will come from china to Sri Lankan.   I want to get my marriage certified by the Chinese authorities. I heard that I can get that service from the the Chinese embassy in Sri Lankan. Is that correct ? If correct what would be the process? Do I have to translate all my Sri Lankan marriage registration papers in to Chinese? If yes from where I can get that done ? I would like to really thankful for any one who can help me with some useful information.Thank you

Yes, you can do authentication of your marriage certificate from Chinese embassy. English document is fine, or Chinese translation if the other language. You can try to contact the embassy directly for more details.
