plank road

Question

I have a very limited time.  I will be arriving to Xian at 9 am by plain. From there take the train or a taxi to Mt. Hushan.I would like to take the cable car up to the east pick. From there I want  to go to the north pick and carry on to do the Plank road:Could you advise me on the best way to do this, and aprox. how long would it take both ways.And return to Xian in the same day...Do you think that is possible to do all of this in one day?Thank so much for you help

The cable car do not go to east peak. It takes you up to the North peak or West peak. The cable car stop running at 7p.m. in the afternoon. I am afraid your schedule is very tight. If you take cable car to North peak, it takes about 3 hours to walk to South peak, where plank road locates. And hiking from South peak to West peak takes you around 40 minutes. Therefore, I suggest you make adequate preparations before the visit.
