Plank road

I have a very limited time.
I will be arriving to Xian at 9 am by plain. From there take the train or a taxi to Mt. Hushan.
I would like to take the cable car up to the east pick. From there I want to go to the north pick and carry on to do the Plank road:
Could you advise me on the best way to do this, and aprox. how long would it take both ways.
And return to Xian in the same day...
Do you think that is possible to do all of this in one day?
