Xi'an and Huashan in 2 days?

Hi im an english teacher in Nanjing,
my girlfriend and i are taking the night sleeper train on a sunday to Xi'an, then (monday mornin) goin straight to the mountain, taking the cablecar up , hike to all the peaks, and down again via cable car.

Is there public transport going to Xian in the evening?
Has anyone done this before and how long does it take to walk all around, up and down?

Is it easy to find a way back to Xi'an in the evening? (5/6/7)


the following day we are going to the warriors and the yellow emperor, we want to see as much as possible on the tuesday before taking a night train back to nanjing again... so any suggestions there would be appreciated too..
