I am swiss, actually travelling in india. Can i apply for a chinese visa in india? what is needed?

I think you should consult at those CVASC branches in India. Usually, the applicants who stay outside of their own countries must provide their legal resident status in the third countries. Apparently, you don't have one. There are three branches (New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata). To supplement, the requirements vary according to which type you apply for.

Thanks for the info but as u say i dont have kegal statue and legal paper work to show them did someone appliedrecently for a tourist L from india? And how long did this take?

Hi, you are advised to contact CVASC office directly for this. It is possible for you to get one as I know.
