baggage customs in terminal 2 in beijing capital airport

Hello, I am travelling from Moscow to Pekin on Aeroflot then onto Pekin-Harbin on South China airlines.I know i have to clear customs in Pekin. How it works? Do i have to pick up the luggage, clear customs, leave arrival area and then go to Departure area to drop the bag?

You need to follow the following steps to make your transfer: Inspection & Quarantine, Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection - Baggage Claim - Customs Inspection - Going through Transfer Formalities - Security check - Waiting & Boarding.The process you mentioned is partially correct. The signs boards in the airport clearly tell you how and where to make it.
