Accommodation and transportation in Macau

Dear all

Hi. I am planning a short trip to Macao on 3rd-5th May. Upon booking my flight ticket only I realised it falls on China's long holiday. Quite a number of hotels are fully booked and those others available are very expensive :( Is it really will be super crowded during this period? Or it is always crowded during weekends? As of now, I can't decide where to stay. I am travelling with hubs and we are ok with 2 or 3 stars hotel as long as it is clean and safe. A fren of mine suggested I stay at 5 foot Inn while another said Emperor hotel. Both are not close to each other and in fact out of our budget. However if the location is ok, we may want to look for hotels nearby that 2 areas. I am looking for convenience in term of eating, shopping and sight seeing places (eg. Senado square, Ruins of St. Paul, Fisherman Wharf, A Ma temple, and shopping/casinos). I would like to visit Venetian too but it seems to be far from those attractions I mentioned. My budget is around usd150/night. Is there any hotel providing free shuttle bus? Btw, where is A Lorche? Pls help... Thanks a lot..

You will reach the city on May 3, so you will miss the Chinese Labor Holiday, so it may not be so crowded comparing to the holiday time. Visitors are a lot during the weekends, but it is not so terrible comparing to the long holiday.

Within your budget, I think the Ole London Hotel may be OK, so you may have a try. To this hotel, there is no free shuttle buses, but you can use other hotel's buses to that one. Most of the hotels and casinos provide shuttle buses.

For the Lorche, do you mean the A Lorcha? If so, it is located 289A Rua do Almirante Sergio.
