from huangshan to shanghai

Hi! We are planning to go to the Yellow Mountain on September. We'll visit the mountain on thursday, 4 of september and sleep at the top of the mountain in Paiyunlou hotel. The day after, we would like to get the night train from Shanghai to Beijing at 21.18.Is it possible to go from Huangshan to Shanghai to get that train? Which hour do we have to leave the hotel and begin to go down the mountain? And which hour maximun do we have to get the bus from Huangshan Scenic Spot?Thank you in advance

Yes, it is possible. There are direct buses from Tangkou Bus Station at the foot of the mountain to Shanghai and they are scheduled at 07:20, 15:00, 15:30 and 17:00. It takes 5-6h. As your train will leave Shanghai at 21:18, you'd better take the first bus back! If you will take cable car down the mountain, you are advised to spare 30-50min ahead to get down to catch the bus!
