About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

Hi, I am visiting New York University in Shanghai for 3 days. They are paying for the trip.

What type of visa would this be and what type of supporting documents would i need?

You need to apply for business F type. An invitation letter from the university is required. In addition, round-trip ticket and hotel reservation should be provided for application.
