TAXI reservation matters in shanghai

Can your hotel located near the Bund reserve a cab for you to return to the Pudong Airport? How can you make sure you get a cab instead of a private car, and will it be any more expensive if the Hotel reserves the cab, than if you get one on your own? Or are there taxi stands around?

Yes, many hotels near the Bund can help to reserve a cab and you just need to pay extra CNY4 service fee (reservation fee) to the taxi driver. Except that, they won't charge more. Usually there is a TAXI mark at the top of the taxi so that you can recognize whether it is a private car or cab.

Or you can also reserve a cab of Dazhong Cab Company on your own by calling 96822. They have English language service.

Except reservation, it is generally easy enough to flag down a cab near ur hotel. No need to get worried!
