Marriage Certificate Letter

Hi, I am being asked by Immigration in Shanghai to provide a "Marriage Certificate Letter from Chinese Consulate where the marriage is registered". In my case, I was married in Jakarta, Indonesia. Does anyone know how do I get this letter? The procedure, the process and to whom in the embassy I should request this? Thanking you in advance for any feedback.

I think that the immigration asks for an authentication of your marriage certificate. You should notarize it at the local notary office in Indonesia. Then get your documents translated in to Chinese at the translation companies approved by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Then you should get them certified by the Ministry of Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Finally, you should send these documents and get them authenticated by Chinese embassy.

You can call 5761026 to consult with the authentification affairs.
