About:Chinese Consulates in Japan

Switching to a Multi Entry X1 visa

I currently reside in China on a X2. I wish to transfer it to a X1. I have all the necessary documentation from my school. Can this be done in Japan, Tokyo Consulate? Am I required to use a travel agent? I can speak Chinese.

Kind Regards,

Zachary

You can apply from embassy in Tokyo in person with all documents. I want to say that X1 is single entry with "000" as duration of stay, because you have to apply for residence permit within 30 days after entry. The residence permit can be used multiple entries if you need to exit and reenter China.
