About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Is it possible to apply for an "F" visa while already living in China?

Greetings;

I am currently here on an "L" and working for one of the numerous "learning english centres"here in Beijing. I am about to make my "Hong Kong" for the "Z", having finally been given my Alien Employment Licence after a lot of personal cost to myself. However, I have been continually lied to by this employer and would like to change employers. I have asked at the Beijing Exit and Entry Office if my Alien Employment Licence could be transferred to another company. I was told no. But I wanted to know if I can still obtain the "F" with the help of the company that wishes to hire me now?
If so - what would be the best steps to follow? Unfortunately my current "L" will end at March 30th, 2014.
Please any information or advise you can share would be great.

Hi, if you want to change employer, the new company should be responsible to get another work permit for you. But first of all, the current one will be cancelled and you need the release letter from your current employer. F is not enough for work purpose, so you are advised to exit and apply for work Z directly.
