Re-Entry into China

Hi, I have a single entry Visa into China, I am currently there now, and want to visit Hong Kong. Is it considered leaving the country if I go to Hong Kong? Am I allowed to re-enter the mainland if I visit on a single entry Visa or must I obtain multiple entries first?

If you hold a single entry one, you won't be allowed to enter PRC again. A double entry or multiple entry type is needed if you want to get back to PRC again after you visit HK.
