expenses in hangzhou china

Hi!

I am coming to work in Zhejiang university as postdoc but would like to know the total expenses of living there? I have heard that the cost of living for working people is higher. Can anyone elaborate it please?

The average local people will expense about 3000RMB per month for basic daily use.
But it is hard to tell a more exact one, because the expense depends on your own living condition and style. If you intend to go out for dinner everyday, the expense will be so high. If you cook at home, the expense will be less.
Since you will live and work in the school, it will save a lot for you and please take it easy.
