About:Beijing Travel

I am arriving in Beijing on Thai Airways from Bangkok and connect with Air China to Houston.

My transit time is 9 hours and 30 minutes. Can I have my baggage checked-through with such a long layover, or will I have to claim it and check it again - which means going through immigration and customs, which I want to avoid as I will not leaving the airport.

If you hold the connecting flight boarding pass, no need to pick up your luggage and recheck it in. However, international transfer passengers have to pass through the immigration transfer desk.
