About:China Transit Visa

Hong Kong to China by train

Hi I am flying to Hong Kong and I would like to spend a few days (3-5 days) in China, do I have to get a visa to visit just a few places in a few days? If so, what type would be required and how much does it cost? I have a South African passport.

You need to apply for a Chinese tourist L in advance from Chinese embassy or consulate. Fee is R.250 for a single entry.
