About:How to Apply for a China Visa

hello i lost my passport and i applied for a new one ..do i need to show an affidavit of loss?

According to the embassy, you should provide copies of your previous Chinese visas (if you have) when you file a new application. But you already lost your previous passport. So I think the affidavit of loss is needed. You might contact the embassy and confirm this.
