About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I qualify for transit visa if flying DPS to PEK via BKK and PEK to TLV connecting again in BKK?

Yes, you are eligible for 72 hours free transit in PEK. But you should make sure that you have all the air tickets in hands when you leave for Beijing and your valid US passport, of course.

Thanks Tom. Thai Airlines airport counter staff (at DPS airport) apparently are not aware of this. They even looked at a manual. Also, were not trained as to which countries qualify; took almost an hour to get boarding pass at the airport.
