About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Inbound flight with stopover, direct outbound

I will be making a short trip UK-China-UK. BUT my inbound flight has a connection in Finland, while the return flight does not. So really I am flying into China from a different country than the one I return to. Can I use this permit?

So your route is UK-Finland-China-UK, right? If so, you are eligible for 72 hours free transit in Beijing and other cities where this policy has been implemented. But you won't use 72 hours free transit if you have two stops in two Chinese cities.

Thanks for the answer!
Yes that is my route, but I am not getting my baggage or leaving the airport in Finalnd, just connecting flights.
I will only be visiting Beijing so this will be perfect. :)
