Liu bang became emperor in 202 BCE after leading peasant uprisings against the cruel rule of the Qin. he establishd the western han dynasty in 205 BCE wich lasted for 200 years. he and his family lessened the burden of the peasasnts and the gave the people peace and prosperity. the dynasty lasted until wang mang stole power and established a short dynasty wich was ended by peasant uprisings and the eastern han dynasty was made which lasted for 200 years before breaking down.
