Can a Filipino like me currently working in Thailand can I get a visa going to Guangdong Province?

And May I ask if what are the possible contents of the invitation letter my friends need to put in? And do I need to have a show money just in case? if yes, how much I must to show?

Hi, work permit and certificate of employment are the same for application. So, it is ok. The invitation letter should include following information:
a. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
b. Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, etc.)
c. Information on the inviting individual (name, contact telephone number, address, signature of the inviting individual)
I don't think you need to show money, but you can prepare for one if you have any. I heard that the rate should be no less than USD 100 per day.
