China X1/X2 visa for Pakistani

Hi,

I am Pakistani national living in UK since 4 years. I am planing to apply for Chinese X1/X2 and i have contacted the Chinese Embassy in UK and they suggested i have to apply from Pakistan as i don't have enough visa for UK. My visa is expiring in UK next month.

My question is this is my first visit to China in this case do they need Police clearance certificate from Pakistan?

My whole family migrated to India in 2000 and no one is living in Pakistan now. I have lived in India for 10 years and then went UK for studies and still i am holding Pakistani passport.

Thank you

But you can try to apply in India if your whole family are living there.

Hi Roy,

If i will apply from India again the Chinese Embassy will requires that if your applying from any country other than your home country you should have at least six months of visa in that country.

So if i will apply from India they need 6 months of minimum visa in India. But i normally travel India on Tourist/Visit visa which is valid for 3 months.

Thank you

If you apply for the first visit to China, that is true that you should come in person for an interview and provide a local police character/clearance certificate (attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan).
