About:Lijiang Travel

The above post is in 2011. Is the train from Dali to Lijiang still operational?

How much does it cost? Can I bring my luggage onboard the train?

Yes, the trains are still in operation. It costs CNY43 for a hard seat and CNY77.5-112.5 for a sleeper. And yes, you will be allowed to take luggage onboard.

Thanks Lisa. Would you know if I can buy the tickets on the day I arrive LJ? Or I have to get it in advance?

Yes, you can generally get it on the arrival day. However, this is a very popular route, so it i best to book the ticket in advance in case that the tickets are sold out.
