About:China Train

Wanting to travel from Hong Kong through to Beijing by fast/comfortable train.

Is it possible to book myself the tickets from the UK? And also can I stop en route in another city between HK and Beijing. Can you advise me of an interesting stopover? And how far before my trip can I book the train ticket? I need to show the Chinese Embassy in the UK my itinerary before a visa is given to me........Many Thanks! Mr Kevin.
