About:Jiuzhaigou Long-Distance Bus

Recommended places to stay overnight between Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou

Travelling duration from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou takes 10 hrs by bus. Are there any recommended towns/cities to stay overnight in between Chengdu and JZG? If so, are there any buses available from that place to JZG next day?

Hi, S L Lau.
If you intend to use the direct bus from CD to JZG, you are not able to stay overnight along the road. The bus will start from CD in the morning and reach JZG late in the afternoon or in the evening. The bus only stops for a meal and toilet. Then you need to stay near the JZG. I just did so when I was there.

Thanks for your information. By the way, which type of transportation do you suggest:
1) Go by bus and back by plane.
2) Go by plane and back by bus.
3) Go and back by bus.
Any recommended hotels at JZG and downtown CD ranging US40-US50?

It is suggested to fly to JZG and take bus back.
The hotels near the entrance of the valley is expensive, so if you want to cheaper but close to the Valley, it is suggested to live in the hostel and I think the MIGU International Youth Hostel is a perfect one for you.
For CD, the Yijia City Hotel and Kaiyou Wei'er Hotel are nice. The first hotel is at No. 279, Fourth Section, Hongxing Road and the second one is at No. 213, Shuangqiao Road.
