About:Shanghai Travel

Are advanced reservations needed between Shanghai Hongqiao and Jiashan

I plan on taking the bullet train between Hongqiao and Jiashan for a one day trip in April. I'm not sure how long I will want to spend (in Xitang) and wanted to know if I would have to buy tickets in advance for a definite train.

Since you do not know how long you will take to spend in Xitang, it is suggested not to buy the tickets in advance.
The bullet trains are a lot and the last train is at around 22:29, so it is no need to worry about the ticket issue and you can buy it at the train station after you came back from Xitang.
