I am going to embark in a cruise ship in manila because the ship will port in manila. But i am going around china to cruise for 12 days and i will depart from shanghai to Philippines.. do i have to get it going back to Philippines

You need to apply for a Chinese visa in advance. For the entries, it depends on your itinerary. If the cruise call at Shanghai only for one time, a single entry is enough. But if you need to visit other cities within mainland China, then you need a double or multiple entry tourist L.
