Is it ok if people choose wrong wedding date for banquet but not officially married in writing ?

We r going to court house to get married one month early in July . then we gonna have wedding ceremony / banquet on August 30,2014 Saturday . Oregon - American date for wedding . I know I heard people say August 30 is not a good date but we have no choices - too late now .so is it ok to have ceremony or party in August 3o since we are married in July ?
