About:Marriage Registration in China

marriage status, certificate

Is it true that marriage in china must be renewed every 7th year or they will no longer stated as married?

No, it is not true. The marriage certificate does not need to be renewed after marriage registration, unless the holder renewed passport with a different passport number.

hi, is it true that need to do so? i did renewed my passport twice within china in fact i just newly acquired one last month and my visa i on process, i am married to a local chinese since 2007 but the PSB don't advise me to do such process to renew my marriage as our marriage already more than 7 years in counting, anyways please kindly share any experience pertaning to this issue so that we will be aware. Thanks
