How to go to Taiping Telpher on the Yellow Mountain? is there any direct bus from Hangzhou to Taiping Telpher?

From Hangzhou, you can go to the West Bus Station to take the buses for Tunxi. Upon reaching Tunxi, you can find the direct buses for Taiping Bus Station, where you can find the buses for the Songguan to take the Taiping Telpher.
You are right, the Taiping Telpher is the closest cable car to the hotel.
In my opinion, you can take the direct buses from Hangzhou to Huangshan and climb the mountain from the south gate using the Could Valley Telpher to reach the top of the mountain and then climb to the Xihai Hotel.

I'm still a bit confuse about the direct bus from hangzhou to scenic spot Huangshan, where's is exactly the bus will stop? is that at tangkou? and is it means the bus will not stop for Tunxi such as you've mention for the route hangzhou to taiping telpher above?
If the hotel (Xihai Hotel) closer to Taiping telpher, I think is better to go to Taiping cable car station instead go tou Yuping or Yungu isn't it?
Or..is there any other consideration why you think better to go to Yuping or yungu?

From Hangzhou, there are two kinds of buses, which will reach both Tangkou and Tunxi. There are four buses for Tangkou from Hangzhou and 17 buses for Tunxi. The buses for Tangkou does not stop at Tunxi.
Your hotel is Xihai Hotel, I know and the Taiping cable car is truly the closest one, but buses from Tunxi to the Songgu'an may be hard to tranfer. It may be a little bit complex if you do not know Chinese.
Since you go there for climbing the mountain, right? I think no matter where do you start, you will finish most of the senic spot on the mountain, so I suggested to use the Cloud Valley Telpher to the top and then climb to the hotel at the same time having sightseeing.
If you take the buses for Tangkou, it will be very close to the South Gate of the Yellow Mountain and it is easy to get. After you enter the gate, shuttle buses can easily take you to reach the bottom station of the Cloud Valley Telpher.

Frankly speaking, I'm trying to avoid too many climbing and walking, since I'll bring along my two little girl(7 & 9 years old with me. I'm afraid it'll be too hard for them. That's why I try to find the shortest way to clim and walk to Xihai Hotel.
Please advice if you have any other idea or suggestion.

Yes I prefer Taiping Telpher, but the problem is I don't really understand how to go to Taiping telpher from Tunxi. I only heard from Jane on previous answer, that at songgu'an might a bit difficult to transfer. Or may be I should take taxi??

You can take a bus at Tunxi Bus Station to Taiping and then transfer to a taxi to the Taiping Telpher, whch is right in the area of Songgu'an.
