About:Silk Road

why did the silk road die out, and how?

i have a project, and so far, i haven't found any good answers to the question. please help!!!!! i take this seriously, so please be sure about your answer! THANKS!

1. Wars resulted in the Silk Road to die out;
2. Many advanced transportations, including trains and planes, were invented. People gave up exchanging culture and economy through the road for the sake of convenience.
