Where do I go to buy and board the water bus in Shanghai

I want to do a river tour but not pay too much so the water bus looks ideal. where to purchase tickets and how does the tour operate?

As I know, there are many ferry lines operating across the Huang Pu River.
In my opinion, you can take the Nanlu Line from the Nanmatou Road to Lujiabang Road. This line operates 24 hours, frequent in day time and only a few from 24:00 to 04:45.
The tickets can be booked at the port directly.
