Xi'an North to City Center by subway with luggage

Hello there,
As XA North has a direct connection with subway line 2, I would like to take subway to reach my hotel (Citadines Central, near Bell Tower).
We will arrive at around 1pm - I guess the subway is not very crowded during that time of the day, right? Or is this kind of a bad time to take the metro with luggage?
