About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can French National applying this transit go out of the airport?

Hi, Can the French national on business trip go out of the airport during this transit during this 72 hour eg, Beijing or only staying in the airport premises? How can he apply this transit? Upon check in at the airport?

Yes, you can apply for this free transit permit if you transit directly via Beijing to the other country. According to the latest information, you can do this directly after arrival at Beijing airport, no need to inform the carrier airline in advance.
