About:China Business Visa

I am on a tourist visa, can I get other type to extend the stay in China?

Hi,
I am on a tourist L. I need to stay for some months more, do you know if I can get F without coming back to my country? Is it possible to apply for it from here or maybe from Hong Kong?

Thank you in advance,

You can apply in mainland without leaving, but as I know, an invitation letter is required. The inviting unit should submit business license with annual inspection for your extension. For more details, please refer to the local exit-entry administration of PSB.

Hi Cosmo,
Thank you for your reply.
I went to the exit-entry administration of PSB and they said to me that I can´t to apply for another type in mainland. Do you think I could try to apply for in Hong Kong? Or is it necessary to come back to my country to make the process?

Can you tell me more details about the process? Is is possible to get the F at Chinese Embassy in Hong Kong? Or by means of an agency?

It is the same as you applied for the tourist L, and you may be required to provide HK ID card showing your local status for application. Anyway, I know someone else got one there without problem.

Thank you for your reply, Amanda.
The problem is that I applied for the tourist visa in my country, before coming to China. In addition, I don´t have HK ID because I don´t live there nor work there; in this situation, do you think it could be possible to apply for this kind of visa?

Thank you Amanda for your reply.
I will try going to Hong Kong the next week. I found a agency called Forever Bright. They told me that I could get a business visa just with a business card from my country, do you know something about this?

Jose, thank you for your reply. Do you know another company called "Shoestring"?
I have written to them by email and they seem serious.
Muito obrigado pela informação,

María
