About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Taipei - Beijing - Taipei, 72-hour-visa free?

Hi, I'm just making sure I have this right.

I am a NZ Passport holder living in Taipei.
I want to visit my friend in Beijing for the weekend. Friday - Sunday.

Can I use the 72 Hour free transit V? If booking return flights from Taipei.
(I'm pretty sure the answer is no, right?)

Fingers crossed I can!

Yes, the answer is no, because this is a return trip. You need to apply for a tourist L type in advance through a travel agency from the Commissioner's Office of the China Foreign Ministry in HK.
