About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Taipei -> Shanghai -> Hong Kong (layover) -> Taipei

Hi there!

I’m a US citizen visiting Taipei for a bit. I’m looking to go to Shanghai for a week from Taipei. On the way back, I have a layover in Hong Kong before getting back to Taiwan.

Does this qualify? Thanks!

Yes, your itinerary definitely qualifies for 240 hour visa free transit because your immediate points before and after mainland China are located in two different eligible territories namely Taiwan and Hong Kong. Have a nice visit to China.
