Need to visit china for trade reasons.

I am in the UK and I need to travel to china for trade reasons I Know that I need M visa, But my Brother in law who is also my business partner lives in Pakistan needs to come to china to join me, We will be staying for just Maximum 5-7 days. What is the best way for my brother in law to join me. Or should I travel to Pakistan first and then we both travel to china together.
