About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I qualify for the 72 hour visa free transit and how do I manage it at the Beijing Capital airport?

I am a US citizen. I have a one way ticket from New York to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific. I plan to stay in HK for 8 days . I then have a different ticket on United Airlines from HK to Beijing. I plan to stay less than 72 hours in Beijing and then fly back to San Francisco.

As long as you hold confirmed air ticket from Beijing to San Francisco which proves you leave in 3 days, then you can enjoy 72 hours free transit in Beijing.
