About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I am taking a cruise that starts in Hong Kong visits 4 ports in China. What type of visa do I need?

How do I record the number of days? Is it the stay in each port totalled or only the longest stay in one port

Each of your stay at the four ports will be counted. I assume that your total stay at these four ports will be longer than 24 hours, right? If so, i think you should apply for a L type. I think you might ask your cruise company about which type you should apply.

I agree that L makes sense to me. Do you think that this is a singe entry or a multiple entry if it is one cruise trip with 4 ports?

A single entry one is ok. Usually, you can stay in PRC for 30 days with it. I think its duration covers your total days in these four ports, right?
